Manager: Ms Livhuwani Mavhungu
Miss Livhuwani Mavhungu is a manager of the Class Act Community Centre in Xigalo, Limpopo. She is an expert practitioner in Adult Basic Education and Training. She has used these skills together with her strong organisational abilities to grow and develop the centre over the past four years.
Livhuwani gives us a glimpse of her thoughts and insights below.
I went to school by foot and it was a long distance that I had to walk every day.
As a child, what I loved most about school was going on trips. Even today, one of the things that I love about the community centre is sharing new experiences with others.
Something I have learnt about management from Class Act is that administration is important – planning, records, implementation and finances must always be up to date.
I believe that Class Act has improved many lives. At our centre we offer skills development, educational opportunities, help for the very poor and a confidential place to share your problems.
I draw inspiration from my father, who is a remarkable man, hardworking, honest, faithful and loyal. A leader of our family and our community.
My personal motto is hard work is the way to success.
